Three Crazy Tasty Uses for Snazzy Gourmet BBQ Sauces
By Kent “The Deck Chef” Whitaker
I’m a big fan of using items I have on hand, or plan on ordering from a retailer such as snazzygourmet.com, for simple recipes! Who said tasty had to be hard? Think about it, if you’re a serious grilling guru, barbecue lover or tailgate master, then you’re probably wide open to trying any barbecue sauce you come across. I know I am! That’s where the amazing barbecue sauce collection from Snazzy Gourmet comes into play!
Choose one, or a bunch, of the tasty sauces available on their site and get ready to enjoy the flavor. For me, living in driving distance to Atlanta, the Fox Brother’s sauce is a must try. They decided to bottle their sauce and offer it to retailers – good for us! Go with the regular or spicy – Snazzy Gourmet offers both. The Low Country sauce and chicken barbecue sauce available are also packed with flavor.
3 Crazy Tasty BBQ Sauce Ideas!
First, let me say that I’ve found all the sauces on Snazzy Gourmet to be wonderful straight out of the bottle! Buy some, open them, taste them and enjoy them with all your grilled foods. But, if you want to try something different that’s easy and packed with flavor then try out these three suggestions for barbecue sauces beside using on a pulled pork sandwich!
PIZZA SAUCE! – Do you have some left over pulled pork, sliced brisket, or smoked chicken? Why not whip up a barbecue pizza? Use the crust of your choice, your left-over wood smoked flavored meat, assorted cheeses and a light coating of your favorite barbecue sauce instead of pizza sauce. I like the regular Fox Brother’s Sauce with pork and beef. Try the Flaming Chicken Creamy Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce with a smoked chicken pizza!
BBQ STEAK SAUCE! – Do you love a great steak? Do you love the flavor of barbecue sauce? Try making a simple barbecue steak sauce the next time you throw your favorite cut of beef on the grill. Grill the steak as you normally would, pat with butter right before you remove it to rest, serve hot with steak sauce mixed with barbecue sauce! Try the Low Country sauces – the mixture ratio depends on your taste buds.
MARMALADE SAUCE! – This is one of my favorite recipes for quick and easy sauce combination – I call them “junk sauces” because you start with a bottled sauce… and add some extra “junk” for bonus flavor. Simply heat some raspberry, orange, peach or the marmalade of your choice in a sauce pan. Next, stir in some barbecue sauce, stir and you’re done! Perfect for a sauce, dipping sauce, drizzle and glaze.
I hope these recipe ideas get your inner grilling guru thought process going. I love fun cooking that utilizes ingredients that people commonly have in their kitchens. I’m also a believer that my recipe suggestions are just starting points! I like them, but the real fun comes in others taking my suggestions and making recipes their own.
